The voyage

This 2 ft x 3 ft acrylic on canvas took me days and hrs of snatched time away from work and family chores. This is done from a photoshopped photography wherein the central characters are left in colour while the remaining fade in grey monotones in a receding manner. While it looks brilliant as a photograph, it was a real challenge to do reproduce it in painting. One had to be mindful of bringing out the colour amidst the grey pallor and it took several layers of paint to bring out the colour. And also make the grey look interesting. Hope the effort has been worth it.
